We are hoping and wanting blue skies and sunshine on Saturday. Although if it does rain we are still going to meet up at North Rim Parking Lot at 11am. We have easy ups and are prepared to stake out some of the day. If it starts dumping then we are moving ourselves to Cafe Culture for the rest of the day.
I am sure we will have fabulous weather, however. Please wish a sunny day in the high 80′s with sparse clouds. Thanks everyone! See you there!

We will then get back to you with a volunteer spreadsheet with all the positions and times that are available the day of the festival. Also, attached to the e-mail will be a volunteer e-mail with the dates of the mandatory volunteer meeting.
We need help with all kinds of activities through out the day. Such as: Golden Goose, Pedal Powered Helpers, Corkers and safety Group.
When you volunteer for the CBMF you receive: a CBMF t-shirt, food during your shift and drinks at the last venue.
It takes a whole community for a festival like this to be so successful.
Hello Chico Community! This years festival is June 4th, 2011. Mark your calendars. Thank you to all the community members who came out to the March 4th Pedal Powered People Parade. This event was a huge success and we raised enough money to buy our Pedal Powered Generator a new inverter. Here are some Highlights from the night.

Pedal Powered People Parade Friday, March 4th
This is a fund raiser for the Chico Bicycle Music Festival
@the GRUB Cooperative @ 4:30pm-11pm
Come and parade around the GRUB Cooperative with The Reinforcements, stilt walkers, jugglers, unicyclists and handle bar baton twirling dancers.
Please come hungry because we are going to be baking fresh, local, organic pizza’s in our newly constructed Cob Oven. Only $15 each. A choice of garlic, pesto and tomato sauce, Sierra Nevada Cheese Company, jack cheese and local veggies to top them off.
Beer from Sierra Nevada and Table wine for sale.
Come and enjoy our acts, music and laugh at Mini Merna.
Come pedal power our stage and dance the night away
with beats from Ayrian and The Rienforcements.
This is a rain or shine event and please ride your bicycles!

Chico Bicycle Music festival June 5th, 2010

Hey Everyone! Sammey here bringin you the lastest on this years Chico Bicycle Music Festival. If you came to the benefit then you saw the amazing 3-D image of what Chico’s Pedal Power will look like. If you didn’t here it is again!
Chico Pedal Power
Let me explain what you are looking at. Here we have an 8 foot steal frame with a slightly smaller 2in steal bar in the middle. Four bicycles will be able to hook there back tire onto the trainers (8 arms sitting upward). With the Back tires resting on the bar, when you pedal the bar moves. The bar is then attached with a chain to a 500 watt motor. The motor is then plugged into an inverter where the pedal energy is changed into real electricity. This will be our system for the Chico Bicycle Music Festival this year and for more to come. Also, we hope to lend out the system to schools, non-profits and even movie in the park fans for anything and everything that needs power. Thanks again to all who came to the benefit.
